Gee that's a really tough question. I mean how difficult is it to walk into an Emart or a Homeplus, meander over to the electrical department, spot a whole row of airconditioners on display and read the price tags. Tough call that one!.
In anticipation of some of your next questions on where to buy/and how much in Korea.
Big Macs are available at McDonalds.
If you need water just turn on the tap/faucet. |

| I paid W300,000 for mine too (in 2007), from Hi-Mart. It's a wall-mounted type with the motor outside (they drilled a hole thru the wall to connect them). I only turned it on 3 times last summer. |

Depends on the size of your place.
You can go as low as 150,000 for a decent used 4 to 6 pyung wall hanging unit (for a small efficiency place), plus about 50,000 to 70,000 for installation. A new one in 4 pyung will set you back around 250,000-300,000 or so once it's all said and done. If you want to get a stand unit, then you'll look at 500,000 and higher.
See units here, and click on horizontal square photos near top for more choices.

If your apartment is just an efficiency, like most teachers apartments, then 6 pyung will do. If it is a basement apartment without a lot of windows, you can do just fine with a 4 pyung unit. If you have a place larger than 16 pyung, you might want to look at a used standing unit, although the wall units come in sizes that will cool as much as 9 to 12 pyung. I'm guessing your apartment won't be that big, anyway. The pyung measurements for these units are rated very conservatively, so a 6 pyung unit will work in up to a 12 pyung place, in my experience. |
