I'm having trouble find a conversation book for a new adult class. I went to the bookstore briefly the other day, and thought I would use the "Grammar In Use" book but I found out they don't want anything to do with that.

So... if you know the title/info etc. of a book that you would recommend, that would be greatly appreciated!

How about the Interchange series? It covers vocab, grammar points, conversation dialogs, and class activities all in one. it's pretty useful as a stepping stone to conversation for adults of that level.

Check these out. They're all available from Kyobo:

Books 2 and 4 are probably a bit too advanced, but if you should see them, then take a look and decide for yourself. Some of the topics etc might be okay.

Thanks for the quick replies. I ended up going with the English in Everyday Life books 1&2. If they don't like 1, then I'll just have those books returned. I'm planning on providing daily handouts as a supplement to the lessons. Thanks again!

Yeah, they're good and excellent value for money as there's so much material in them.
