|
|
Hey, another question about HDTVs... Is there anyway to hook up a Macbook (not pro) to my hdtv? The mac doesn't have an S-video or HDMI port, and there are just some things that the computer will play but my ps3/xbox will not (such as anime or movies with soft subs). Is there some other cord made specifically for this? Maybe one I could pick up at E-mart? Thanks! |

The Apple TV is the smoothest way.. More expensive, but it sure is nice because you don't have to hook up your computer.. just the Apple TV box.. everything else is through WiFi. Not to mention your entire iTunes library (including movies/podcasts/the Store, etc.) is at your TV's disposal.

Hmm, that does seem pretty sweet, but I bought the converter and HDMI cable for about 25 bucks combined. If you throw in the speakers for my computer, 35. Apple TV is about 100 times more expensive. Not to mention apple does not ship to Korea (one of the few places it doesn't ship to). Thanks for the heads up though, it may be something to invest in sometime in the future. |

I do realize that. When our charger broke we went to COEX where there is an apple store, but they didn't have any chargers. Kind of odd for an apple store, not to have the most basic of things. Then we went to that site to get a new one, but they didn't have it in stock. We've had nothing but bad experiences trying to get apple products from korea, and eventually we ordered it in the us and had a family member ship it over. It may be a pressence, but it's minute. |

Odd i was there this past weekend (the a# store) and saw chargers there as well as everything else. The shelves were stock full of stuff. They definitely don't have a TON of stuff though definitely not as good as Apple US. They don't sell those handy Macbook elevator stands in the Korean Apple store. |
