|
|
We were having some work done on our apartment today. We live in one of those 30+ pyung 3BR family apartments.
Apparently, the drilling sound (15 mins of it) was enough to make our downstairs neighbor feel as if he had license to just up and walk into our living room and start screaming at us wondering what we were doing -- and the fool even had his shoes on. The workers had left the front door propped open, otherwise he never would have gotten in so easily.
I looked at the guy with surprise as he began yelling angrily at the younger of the two workers. I then said, "Who are you and why did you just walk our house with your shoes on!?"
My wife came out and apologized to the guy as he got all angry wondering why we were doing this work on a Saturday when he was home. He complained that we should have informed the management office (we did). The guy basically had no leg to stand on as far as his complaints, as the work was necessary.
Afterward, I explained to my wife that if some stranger barged uninvited into a home like that in the USA, he'd be one of three things:
1. Shot dead
2. Receive a visit from the police
3. Lucky if 1 or 2 didn't happen
What a jerk. |

Push the stranger out of your apartment by force, but not injuring them. Just escort them on their way, if they oppose, get in their face and do a rebel YELL!. That's my style to put said offensive person to shame. When they feel shame, they are sorry ass and apology and go on with the rest of their life. With ingrained Confucian national psych, it's OK to violate other people in a passive aggressive manner until they call you on it and only then do you feel shame and stop said behavior. People will literally walk all over you if you don't stand up to them. I don't shoot, punch, or knock out, unless I'm physically threatened, but I take care of business in a second on these types of things. Landlord also knows better. Goddamned people try you is all it is. Well, everywhere in the world people have a way of seeing how weak and gullible you are. |

YO CUT! "Get your funky [mod edited] shoes off my Korean floor" that was the real dis IMHO. Man handle him to the shoe changing area and then let him proceed with the rant followed by a friendly "sorry about the noise but I'm conducting buisness so please save your ajoshi trash talk for another time seeing as how you dissed me about 10x harder than some Saturday power tool noise." |

I would have put him in a headlock and dragged his ass back out to the hallway. |

I would have said, "Sorry Bro, I should have told you. I understand as it's happened to me before. Sit down there I'll bring you a coffee."
"죄송해요. 형꼐 미리 이야기 안해서 죄송해요. 불편하시지요? 앉으세요. 거비 한 잔 드릴게요."
Though, I imagine that's exactly as your wife did. Good on the women to keep the men from committing atrocities against each other. |

He would have been getting the hell out of my apartment, either of his own volition, or mine, and quickly. |

Call the NIS and claim you think he was trying to recruit you to spy for the North. Explain that he wanted you to gather information on your boss. You might get a reward and he'll be locked up for several days or weeks while they figure out the truth.
By the time gets back from NIS-hell, the work would have been completed.
Call 111 from any phone and ask for Mr. Won Sei-hoon. |

with your size your should have walked up to him! and grabbed a solid hold of his arm then kicked his leg and said! you come into my house with your [mod edited] shoes on????? then escorted him to the shoe area and told him to remove his shoes! then proceed to have the conversation in the shoe area!
and tell your wife to not apologize! as in korea labor workers work on a saturday and this is part of life we all have to endure this at times!
but walking into someones house uninvited and wearing your shoes is an insult!
your height alone would have intimidated him.. |

Grab one of your shoes, or better, one of your wife's high heeled shoes, and clomp him on the head, meanwhile pointing at his shoes on your floor. Then very calmly and gently tell him to take off his shoes. It's all about how calm you can stay here. The man that controls his emotions the best has the upper hand, especially in Asia. |

What a F nut!
Downstairs neighbor?
Revenge is a dish best served cold. You have a long time to torture this fool.
Sub woofer face down on the floor; use a music editor to make an MP3 with several thumps followed by ten to fifteen minutes of silence. Turn it on when you leave the apt on saturdays and sundays, late nights on weekdays.
Coming in your apt with his shoes on!!!!!! wow. what an arse. If there's no CCTV on individual floors, put pepper spray on his door handle. Use the stairs cause there is CCTV in the elevator.
Be vigilent. Drive him nuts. |

It is funny how people seem to be thinking the shoes were the biggest problem here. If he had taken them off and come in yelling, would there have been no problem? I love being ignorant in Korean. I would have thought he was a workman if he came in while other workmen were working. Once I realized he wasn't there to work, his arse would be finding its way to the door rather quickly.
Then I would have my kid bounce the ball on the floor every Saturday and Sunday for a month. |

Man: Force the guy out either by yelling or physically pushing. Let offender know the gravity of his mistake.
Wussy: Cower behind Korean wife as she profusely apologizes. Come to internet forum to anonymously express outrage.
Bass, this isn't the first time you've been violated by a Korean, did nothing and came on Dave's to complain about it. Every man I know would handle his business and be done with it. Only little b1tches complain about it on the net. Next time, man up and save us all the b1tching. |
