I have been here just over a year and my travel insurance expired the other day. Who here has travel insurance? Do I need it? I'm leaning towards not renewing it, as it's really expensive and travel insurance tends to be low quality, ie they find any way possible of not paying.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe some long termers can give some info regarding insurance options inside Korea. Thanks in advance. |

Same. I'm talking more about stuff that isn't covered under health insurance. For instance flying you home if you get too sick to go yourself or heaven forbid, flying your remains home. Also for if you lose your luggage, or your house gets burgled. |

I don't have Korean National Health Insurance, as I'm on 'Independent Contractor' status.
So I have my own private travel insurance. It's just a basic policy for medical-related stuff.
It also means that I don't have to buy additional insurance for when I travel outside of Korea. |
