I read a couple of weeks ago that Hugh Jackman had agreed to become a goodwill promotional ambassador for Korea - of his own volition, since has apparently has some ties and really likes the country.

which is great, in my opinion - a hell of a lot better than that new clown kindergarden mascot the city of Seoul recently unveiled as its "symbol".

not that Jackman's endorsement would make me decided to come here, etc - but he's a generally well liked and well known and hip celebrity. Good move Korea.

I was at the gym yesterday and saw on one of the TV channels that they had him on some show with a bunch of Korean hostesses and I have no idea what they were saying- since the sound was down, but it looked like one of those typical Korean shows where they show off their latest copycat dance move and I saw Jackman kind of act the "leading man" role, etc.

seemed like good fun.

instead of "sparkling" and Haechi, the toothless stupid "new symbol of Seoul.

I would show a video in all the schools I went to - out in the southern mountains...of Hugh Jackman singing "O What A Beautiful Morning" from Oklahoma...

a farm setting and the kids were fascinated by it...along with the beautiful melody and learning the words...they really loved it after they heard it a few times...as well as the co-teachers...it is an uplifting song...

students liked the idea of corn climbing up to the sky and as high as an elephant's eye!

if you have a good screen/computer in your classroom this site with lyrics runs over and over again...

The haechi is awful. It's like some sort of retarded pig dog.
