So, my Korean monitor, which is hooked up to my Korean desktop PC, is doing something bizarre. It's not the usual image burn or a pixel problem, rather the screen goes black, then blue and red lines sweep across it, then a white checkerboard appears and disappears, and then (the best part) the word "burning" bounces slowly across the screen.
Anyone have any clue WTF is happening? |

start it up in safe mode (f8 while booting), run a virus scan.
If this doesn't work remove the harddrive from the computer put it in an external and run a virus check on it from another computer (you run the risk of infected the second computer and destroying windows on the infected computer
but from the sounds you may need to do a reinstall |

| Thanks, guys. I have no idea what was going on, but the problem stopped, and I have no spyware or viruses according to my scan. Weirdest thing, I restarted yet again after school (screen was still "burning"), and voila. Guess the third time's a charm, eh. |
