|
|
A person under the user name "MRNICE" sold me a motorcycle on Friday. We went back and forth a bit, and he seemed like a decent guy. He showed up with the bike and let me ride it around a bit to see that it worked okay. It seemed to. I paid him, thanked him, and drove home. Not a mile away the bike craps out. I can't get it started again. I take it to a nearby mechanic and he says it needs a new carborator... which is 85,000W. Of course the seller did not mention this when he sold the bike to me.
Eventually it started and I got it home. Now it won't start again. I have called and texted and e-mailed this seller repeatedly, and he ignores all these attempts to get in touch with him. Either he knowingly sold me a faulty bike, or he didn't know it was faulty but does not stand by his sale and is making no attempt to make amends.
I think he's leaving in a few days, but in case MRNICE shows up on here trying to buy anything, DO NOT BUY IT.
Or maybe that's what I get for blindly trusting white people. |

Let's assume this guy is already gone. What can you do? You already had it looked at once and they found 1 problem. Is that it? There is bound to be other problems, have them look again. Find out what it will cost to get it working at optimal level. Then decide if you want to pay at least 85,000 won.
If you find out it's only 85,000 and everything else is good, then it doesn't sound like he treated you unfairly. It could have been a lot worse. Pay the 85,000 and enjoy it.
Keep contacting him and if he contacts you back, consider it a bonus. There is nothing you, Dave's, or any of us can do about it if the guy is gone. |

and the problem is what exactly?
1) Prove that the guy didnt know that the carburator was broken.
2) he let you test drive it, and apprently you were satisfied. Did you not think about taking it to the garage to get checked out, like most people would do when buying a used vehicle?
3) he sold you the item, you chose to buy it. What ammends is he supposed to make? This is not walmart, lone sellers do not have a return policy.
Perhaps you are not giving the whole story, but all i realy see here is that you got burned, you are choked about it, and so you need to smear the guy.
Now yes, he at least should take a call or two, and tell you what I said just now, but CAVEAT EMPTOR has been a pretty standard market slogan for about 4000 years. you just learned it the hard way. |

It was deleted before, becuase of the racist statement at the very end. Might edit to say, "maybe I was foolish for blindly trusting someone I didn't know." |

I once almost bought a lemon, but took it to a garage first. When the seller heard I did that, he got IRATE! Yelling and screaming. Naturally he knew that once I got it checked out, I wouldn't buy it.
Crooks everywhere. |
