i miss:

all my grad school girlfriends
my Mom
my siblings
my cool nieces Cool
smoked meat sandwiches with Canadian beer
Wanda's strip bar dancers
Montreal Canadiens season tickets
my 69 banana colored Vette
my sexy assed cognitive psychology prof. (she turned me on with her educational theories on student behaviorisms and her tight skirts)
the rest of my dysfunctional family...

how bout' ya' all? Confused

I miss my family the most, especially my 2 year old nephew. His father went to jail after I left and I wish I could be there for him... 5 more months.

Food-wise, I'd definitely say Mexican food. Being from Texas, there are loads of it, so I miss that. I missed cheese, but as of two weeks ago, our Lotte Mart carries block cheddar cheese! Yay! Very Happy

Otherwise, I'd say I miss watching my cousin's baby grow. She was born in September, and I didn't get to see much of her before I came here in November. I also miss getting hugs. No one really does that here.

Montreal bagels
A decent selection of cheese
Ethiopian food (used to have at least one injera roll a week when I was in university thanks to the organic food co-op. Got addicted)
Being able to travel to other swing dance events/scenes easily
Humm.. that's it for now. I don't really miss family or anything. Not really that close.

Now spring is upon us and the weather is getting warmer I'm finding I'm missing home a lot more. Summer in the UK is a special time: long warm evenings and pub beer gardens, cool parties and even cooler music, festivals and camp fires, organic cider over ice, single malts, some nice weed, maybe some flake and of course, time with friends.

mainly food. I like Korean food, but...

Good, strong, make-you-sweat cheddar cheese, plus blue cheese like stilton or Danish blue.

Decent sliced bread.

Branston pickle

Marmite

Decent doner kebabs, dripping in grease. "Give me extra meat instead of salad. And drown in in Chilli sauce."

Also...

Going to the footy,

pub gardens.

Suppose I must add...

my parents. They're getting on a bit so i do worry about them.

2 brothers, 1 sister, 11 nieces and nephews - don't miss 'em actually. Didn't see them for years when I lived 20 minutes away in the UK. F@ck 'em.

I miss going to a decent fast food restaurant with a REAL newspaper and spending several hours just reading it in the morning.

I miss Macaroni & Cheese.

I miss diet Dr Pepper.

I miss overheard conversations that are all in English.

I miss living in a city that doesn't smell like a sewer almost 24/7.
