My co-teacher brought me a brochure about this festival today. It's for 2 days in May (26 -2Cool in gang neung.

It seems I would get 2 days off work to go to this thing, or perhaps I'm missing something.

Has anyone gone to this before? What's it about? Was it a worthwhile

experience?

Is there a catch? Usually, there is but perhaps I'm too cynical.

It's the Dano festival right?
강릉단오제?
I went a few years ago and it was fun. A lot of people there. They had booths set up, and then your regular stuff: Viking, light show, making ddeok. If you've been in korea for a few years, you've probably done it all already. But it is an excuse to go to Gangreung.
