Ok, the question is, does anyone know or foresee anything wrong with putting our status as married on a job application form when we are not technically married yet, but will be when the job starts?
Also, do employers ever check for marriage licenses?
My fiance and I are applied a job for August, and are at the point where we are about to send in our documents.
We are engaged and plan to be married in June.
Our location preference will only house married couples together.
On our original application, we put our status as "engaged", but are thinking of going ahead and putting "married" when we re-submit the paper applications for the visas.

Ever hear of immigration fraud? That's not a good idea. Your looking back idea is ill-advised if you have to do this over. Tell the truth on the applications. Once you are married, notify both the Korean consulate and your prospective employer.
And, yes, the Consulate does check for proof of marriage. |

they did ask for a copy of our marriage certificate
don't risk being thrown out for fraud on an application form |
