I've got a Canon Powershot SD1000, and I'm really frustrated with it. I can take great action shots in automatic mode with the flash on, but the minute I take it off automatic and/or turn the flash off, everything goes all blurry. So why not leave the flash on? Because it sucks. It's way too underpowered so I end up with shots in the dark, whereas if I turned the flash off, the lighting is fine but I end up with the aforementioned blurriness. In manual mode, I've tried all the settings to up the shutter speed, but I can never mimic the performance I get from the automatic mode with flash on. I like the compactness of a point and shoot, but I want the ability to take clear shots with the flash off. Can you give me any advice on what camera I should get?

I think I have the same camera and that doesn't sound right at all. Take it to Canon's excellent customer service people. They have customer service locations in several places in Seoul but of the top of my head I know they have one in Yongsan and one in Technomart.
