Ok, so I have a friend who would like to come over here and teach english. She is from India though, but as I'm sure you know, Indians learn English from birth...so technically they are native speakers. Her accent is barely recognisable I mean...I know some kiwi's here who I cannot barely understand. She graduated from an English University double majoring in English literature and commacative English.

I remember reading somewhere that the system is being changed to not be so discriminatory against those not from US, Canada, Uk etc....She will be in the country so it would not be a problem to have an in-person interview.

What should she do??

To the best of my knowledge she will still not be able to get a teaching job without a passport and degree from the Big Seven.

The law has not changed yet as far as I know.

Her best bet would be to call Immigration and get the requirements from "the horse's mouth" so as to speak.

She would get work in Korea, but probably at a lower rate then someone from one of the 7. Since she doesn't have a passport from the 7, then she couldn't get an E1 visa, as far as I know.
