I will be buying a new computer in a couple of weeks and just wondering if anybody can offer advice on how much I can expect to pay for one, and where the best place to buy one is.
I want to buy a desktop computer and it must have as absolute minimum: 2GHz processor, 1GB RAM and a good video card (preferably better).
Just trying to get a good idea of prices and if you guys know somewhere good in Seoul to buy computers (or anywhere not too far from Seoul), I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks in advance for any help |

200k - 700k won (depending on whether you want a single, dual or quad core CPU, size of the HDD and video card.
J-tech over at the son-in plaza is always a good bet for good prices, and good service (computer built while you wait) and they have been around long enough that if you have a hardware problem they will fix it under warranty during the 1st year.

| For a good value for money card right now I'd suggest nVidia 9600GT. Get a dual core processor at least, a AMD 6400+ is about 15만. If you get those two plus a standard set of minor parts and 2gigs of ram, you should be looking at about 50만, before display. As for where to go, Gmarketing individual components and building it your self would be the cheapest, but if you don't feel comfortable doing that, Yongsan or a Technomark are good bets. |
