Did anyone else's school inturrupt lessons this morning to show a video about starving kids in Africa and some school fundraising attempt this morning. I was in the middle of teaching a lesson when an announcement came on the speakers telling all the teachers to turn the classroom TV to channel 2 for ten minutes. Fine, so they have to show it sometime, but here's what I don't get:

OUR HIGH SCHOOL HAD A SPARE BLOCK YESTERDAY AT 4PM - WHY NOT BLOODY SHOW IT THEN!!!

I guess that learning to deal with the lack of thought that goes into some things is just part of being a teacher here.

Why does this bother you? So you got an extra 10 minute break today. Plus, you got to learn about all the starving people in Africa. Is this even worth complaining about?

Is your class more important than starving kids in Africa? Thats quite the ego there YBS. With an ego that size its a wander you cant do better than a technical highschool.
