Just curious.
There's one in Bupyeong.
any1 work there b4?
how often does this student drop out / you pay the fee come into effect?
what's with the low hourly wage? 20,000 seems kinda low, especially since I have an f2.
any other info you guys could throw my way would be great. |

If you have an F2, forget it.
Bupyeong wouldn't be the main Pagoda, it would be a franchise.
If you really want to work in a hagwon look for one with fixed hours, so you could do corporates or other stuff around it.
I make roughly 1.5-2 times what I made at Pagoda, and am doing fewer class hours (more travel time though.) |

I've considered them. Honestly I think 20,000 won isn't that bad for an E2 visa holder - if you calculate your total hours worked at a monthly-salary position at other hagwons, your hourly pay often comes out quite a bit lower than 20,000 won (hell, isn't 20,000 won the overtime at a lot of places)?
It ain't the best, but it's hourly, and it's adult students. If you want to get paid 35,000+ hourly legally on an E2 visa, you're probably teaching kids at CDI or Hoyah or something.
But for an F2 visa holder? Maybe it'd be ok if you had a block shift or something. |

ya... that's what I'm thinking.
Right now I just need a job... but there seems like a bunch of bull I may have to put up with with them. |

One of the questions I was asked in the interview was how well I received teacher evaluations. I've also read on these boards that you might lose pay if a lot of students start quitting on you? |
