I'm going backpacking in SE Asia for the first time in September and I'm trying to buy all of my gear ahead of time. My friends and I plan on staying in hostels most of the time and we're not sure if, as a general rule, they have bedding or we should carry some of our own. If we need to bring stuff should we bring full sleeping bags, just sheets, something else?
Thanks! |

I've always had good luck with a sheet bag.....just buy a queen sized sheet, fold it over, sew it up.........voila! Now I carry a 40+ F degree bag and it works nicely. If you're going to be hosteling in S. East Asia there is a very good chance you'll be happy to have your own bedding at some point. |
