Forget it. Too much trouble posting on here. I really wasn't looking to screw anyone over... I was going to lower the price by 100,000W... but this really isn't worth it.
Hamlet, I wanted to sell the bike because as I was driving home, or for the first mile I could drive home, I realized I made a mistake and that there is no point owning a motorcycle in Seoul.
By pointing out in a public forum that I'm acting sketchy, without being able to prove anything, aren't you guilty of exactly what you attacked me for in the other thread?
Geez... my head is spinning from all this.

I don't think he was being racist. His point was he made the mistake of automatically trusting someone just because he was another expat, and the same as himself, when really they had nothing in common and the dude clearly didn't deserve to be trusted. Not every reference to race someone makes on the net is necissarly racist. |

Not, not every reference is. But he/she didn't say "trust JUST because"
they implied that white people can't be trusted.
I'm not offended, but it is racist. |

available july 1st daelim 125cc motorcycle. Old. Runs fine. Papers. Box on back. Black and red. Blend in with all the quickservice guys.
Repairs are supercheap because it's probably the most common bike model on the streets now.

Great starter bike. |

Canuck, get a grip. Relax, man. I made a crack about trusting white people more than Koreans over here. I've never (until now) been ripped off by a white person, and I've been ripped off by Koreans (and Thais, when I lived in Thailand) several times. Didn't mean to get you (and the rest of the PC police) all bent out of shape. Basically all I meant was that maybe I shouldn't trust anyone... regardless of race.
Simone, would you mind making your own post rather than signing onto mine and trying to sell a similiar product? I mean... come on, man. There are ethics involved here. |

To all the people who are pming me. It's not a magma, it's just an old ugly crotchrocket.
I'm sure the OP's bike is much better looking. This is strictly a functional salvage bike.
To the OP: Hey man, chill. It's not like you're paying for the ad or anything. Besides, you clearly want to move your bike ASAP. THis one isn't available until July.
But if you want to flame me, have fun. I could use some excitement. Packing is a drag. |

I'm interested in donating a few bucks into a paypal account. When sufficient funds have been gathered, you can get the engine exchanged for a large rubber band and wind up stick. this way, we can all be the sure the buyer will be getting home. Failing that, I suggest you move to the top of a hill, at least 1.1 miles high. This way, you can be sure the buyer wont push it back up and will have clearly made it further then you. |

It looks fine... it's a Daelim- a Magma, I believe, though I have to confirm that when I get home. It's one of those black cruisers and has a matching black helmet and one of those seats you can lean back against on the back seat (I'm new to motorcycles, so I think this might be a pansy bar, or maybe a mini one, but I'm not sure). It's a handsome bike.
Some of you may have seen my other post... I had some immediate problems with the bike, which I bought just the other day, but I seem to have figured them out. It's been running fine since, but I won't sell it before getting it checked out and tuned up before selling it.
It has low mileage- about 9,000 km on it. Oh, I also have papers and plates. My camera's broken, so I don't have any pictures... but you're welcome to look at it in the morning or evening. I'm in Haebinchon. For the low mileage and the condition it's in (after I get it tuned up... and you're welcome to come with me when I do it), I'm asking 600,000W. |

Ok, since you opened up the door, now YOU seem to be a bit shady here. On your other thread you are moaning about the 85 000 and the carberator that didnt work on a Motorcycle that you wanted to buy and then bought.
NOW you have all the repairs done, and it seems to work fine. So, could you let us know why you you bought a bike that you have now fixed ( or will fix) and are selling it again right away?
you wanted a bike, it was broken, you fix it, then you sell it. Somethings not adding up.
Also, how do you "figure out " a broken carberator? Did you replace it, or have you just prayed a lot and the thing runs pretty well now ( if its the latter you basically prove that the other guy likley thought it was in working condition and okay)
Will you provide copies of all repair bills and work done so we can be sure that you have done the repairs that you have said you will do before you can bear to part with the thing?
As for your "trusting a white guy comment" yeah you still come across as racist. YOu've only been screwed over by Thais and Koreans? Come on, there were more than enough local people back home who screwed you and you never found out, and if you said that you only got screwed over by "black" people in America or any western country you know for a fact people would be all over you.
Its not less innocent when you are brodcasting that its only Koreans and Thais that have done it. YOve been screwed over by PEOPLE, plain and simple, because its in the nature of MANY people to screw others over. |

Oh come off it, you are not really gonna pull that crap are you?
I am saying that the guy didnt appear to be shady and that he didnt screw you. Read his original post, he was leaving Korea and wanted to get rid of it. YOu buy it, and then wonder why hes not calling you back. What do you do? you SMEAR him and tell people not to buy from him. Well hes likely not gonna be selling anything what with not living here and all.
Then you come on here like SO MANY sellers and try to make a profit on used goods. I would guess that you paid MAYBE 400 on it. If you didnt talk him down from 500 to 400 based on what he said, then Id be shocked. Then you come on here and try to sell it for 600.
Then you were "going to be nice" and drop the price back down to 500 which is AT THE MOST what you paid for it, and you have not had any work on it, nor paid a single extra dollar for it.
You say you werent trying to screw anyone over? Maybe not, but advertsing it at 100 - 200 K above what you paid Mr NIce For it sure works out for you doesn't it?
All i did was question whether if you were going to be any better than MRNIce by providing documentation of all repairs and confirmation of a clean bill of health before you unloaded it on the next guy.
I personally dont buy your reason for wanting to sell the bike again. I really dont. I myself, and I am sure others fid these 2 reasons more likely
a) you wanted to flip it for profit ( which seems evident in your own posts)
b) you are so disgruntled that its broken you are gonna try and sell it to someone else to avoid putting repair money into it ( since you have not actually repaired it yet ( by your own admission) but confirm that "it is running great now.
So "on the drive home you realised there was no point in owning it in Seoul", was this before or after it "stopped working a mile from the sellers house"?
Lets follow this logically
1) you buy a machine you say actually runs badly and needs repairs
2) you are so pissed off that you basically ask for a black list on the seller.
3) you try to sell it for 100 to 200K more than you paid for it ( possibly more, you could have talked the guy down to 250 K for all we know) (then "dropping" the price down to the Maximun amount you paid for it)
4) you confirm that it is "running great now" AND confirm that it has not had ANY work done to it whatsoever.
5) Point 4 either
a) COMPLETELY negates that you got a faulty product, and consequently negates that Mr NIce Screwed you.
b) confirms that you are a shady guy (POSSIBLY lying that it is running great now), and that you may or may not repair any faults with it before you sell it.
Yeah If you dont see how you come off as shady then you should really think about it.
If you didnt want the hassle perhaps you should have saved yourself from it in the first place. |
