This school is on the verge of bankruptcy. Salaries are not paid on time, medical insurance is not paid, they don't deduct income tax or pension.
They are losing student and blaming it on the teachers.
Four teachers have quit because of salary issues and working conditions. To save money on salaries they pack the students into large classes and make the teachers work the maximum number of hours. A lot of time is spent working unpaid overtime doing phone tests, attending meetings and doing student reports.
On the chain of respectability the foreign teachers are at the bottom, 3 rungs below the students. Korean teachers, who neither write nor speak English well, call the shots. The purpose of having foreign teachers is to have somebody to abuse, lie to and manipulate. I have worked for 2 other employers in Korea; neither of them were as bad as ECC Seo Incheon.
