I just bought Street Fighter 4 and am finding it difficult to get into with just the stock controller. I've looked around on Gmarket for Arcade Sticks and alls I can find are these homemade ones that are basically the guts of a normal controller put into an arcade housing. Does anybody have any experience with these sticks? I'm sure the build quality varies. If you have one will you tell me where you got it? Any advice would be appreciated. |

They're actually quite good. I have one purchased from Yongsan and its considerably better then the Hori EX2 I have. The Korean sticks usually use Fanta buttons and stick from what I've read. Best advice is to head to an electronics market and get a feel for it first. |

How much did it cost you in Yongsan?
Also, Do you know if you are able to open it up and switch out the buttons/stick. I kinda assume the custom nature of these sticks will make it difficult for a newb like me to make any further modifications... |

I paid 110,000 for mine, which I thought was a little pricey at first, but it does include a ripped apart wireless 360 controller so I guess its not that bad. Switching the parts inside wouldn't be hard if you know how to solder. I don't think it'd be necessary though, the Fanta sticks are what a lot of Korean pros use. |

alright bro,
Thanks for your advice. The normal pad is officially killing this game for me. I'ma go down to the shops tomorrow and take a look. It's either invest in a stick or ditch the game... |

i was having a pretty bad time with sf4 with the pad until a friend of mine let me borrow his doa4 hori stick that he bought for 25,000 won at yongsan. i went there looking for sticks and found the shop sticks going for about 90,000 (wired). i also found another store selling the expensive hori stick for 250,000. |
