This weekend, once again, my wife and I are opening up our house to play board games.

I hear there are some folks who play board games who frequent the forums here, so I figured some might be interested.
May 2nd, at my house. We have plenty of room, most certainly plenty of board games (1000+). Getting here is pretty simple - I live very close to the Nokyang subway stop (on Line # 1), and can pick folks up there. We'll provide supper - although you are welcome to bring snacks if you want. Times are flexible, we'll start gaming at 2 PM, and likely go to later in the evening - come and go when you please.

We'd love to have you come join us. Even if you've not played many board games other than Monopoly or Risk, we encourage you to come out - we're a friendly group of folk, and will gladly teach you some of the greatest games ever designed! Some of the games we have include Ticket to Ride, Scattegories, Puerto Rico, Agricola, Memoir '44, Heroscape, and more.

For more info, feel free to email me at [email protected]; or give me a call at 011-764-6136.

Tom,

1000 games! Where the heck do you keep them all?

How strange it is to invite random people into your home. And to offer to pick them up, feed them supper...

And yet...I'm interested.

Maybe I'm the nutty one? lol

By the way, how many people normally show up?

Eh, not so strange, I guess. For me, doing stuff at home is better than meeting at some random place.

How many people show up? It all depends. Last time it was two, the time before that it was ten. This time six people have confirmed so far...

Two to ten is very manageable indeed.

Somehow I imagined hundreds of people coming and going, with people playing games in every nook and cranny, you as the host orchestrating it all, your wife being the gracious cook slaving away at a giant pot of chile.

lol

I have to shore up my plans for Saturday, but I will let you know one way or the other within a day or so.

I can't find Nokyang on line 1. I can find Nokcheon but that's it. What's the subway number? Easiest way to find it...

Do you have a game called "Risk"? That's one of my favorite games.

I'd be up for Settlers of Cataan. I've played the computer version but it always cheats.

Sorry, guys! I didn't get any emails indicating anyone had replied here, so I'm slow on the response.

Nogyang station is two stops above Uijongbu, as shown on this map
