My mom is now living half the year in S.K. and half the year in the U.S. (born in S.K. and a U.S. citizen) She is planning to buy an apartment in S.K. and some of the things she's said about the deal doesn't make any sense to me. She say's that there are differences in the way real estate is handled in S.K. vs. the U.S.

One of the things that she says is that the loan period is never ending, that is you continually pay on the loan. She says there's no 15, 20, 30 year loans as there is like in the the U.S.

Does anyone know about S.K. realty?

Has anyone ever bought land, a house or an apartment in S.K.?

Can anyone clarify some of these differences to me?
