I have a pair of earbuds, and the metal wires came loose from their bearings in one of the buds; it'd be very easy to fix this with a soldering iron, but I don't want to get one just for this (and, in any case, I don't trust myself to do a good job).

Is there anyplace in Seoul I can go to get these fixed?

I'd like to know too as my 4 month old $60 Skull Candy ear buds wire shorted out near the plug in and you can't fix these by hand as the wires are uninsulated unlike the Walkman days where you could hard wire head phones that had 2 insulated wires and a ground wire inside the black outter insulation. Now the wires are so tiny and only insulated by some super thin spray on silicone where they easily short out if the 1 micron thick coating is compromised due to friction from use.

There is a building in Yongsan full of used electronics/computers stores. Those guys are a good bet since many of them had magnifying glasses and soldering equipment. Looked like they fixed up old machines and electronics for a living. Sorry, I don't have any directions to it. I found it by accident while randomly wandering around.
