Are there any coin, currency, or stamp collectors? A friend of mine and I go on coin runs and buy different coins and currency. We are probably going to go on another run in a couple of weeks on a Sunday. Today,
I bought a 5,000 won note from 1983, an assortment of Asian coins (Japanese, Thai, Phillipino, and Malaysian), two bank notes issued by the Phillipine Government in exile (WWII), and I also bought a coin album.

I am not sure if there are any collectors who read Dave's, but if there are send me a PM.

Let's not knock stamp collecting.
That's one thing Dad & I did when I was young that was fun when we couldn't be outdoors.
Most of the stamps we studied and mounted in an album were from before my time, so I learned a bit of history that way.

Now, I've inherited a LOAD of stamps, in albums, in boxes, sorted and unsorted.
No idea what to do with them.

I don't collect stamps. I collect coins and currency. I mostly collect coins, and I have so many coins from Turkey, Greece, Israel, Palestine, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Canada, the US, England, Spain, the Soviet Union, Italy, Korea.

I also have obscure and old places like Portuguese India, the Straits Settlement, Shleswig and Holstein, Portuguese Mozambique and Portuguese East Timor, Italian Somaliland, Kazakhstan, Armenia,
Nagorno Karabakh, Trans-Dniester, Portuguese Macau, new East Timor coins, St. Helena, Biafra, Katanga, Namibia, Spanish Puerto Rico, Hawaii when it was a country.

I have a huge collection, too. I sometimes go to the coin shops in Korea and get coins and currency.
