Even the best English teachers at my school would need a lot of help translating everything, but I think that if they went through all 10,000+ posts they'd see that I have a lot more good things than bad things to say about them. I can think of a couple of rookie English teachers who might be a bit upset and embarrassed, though. The administration might not appreciate some of my remarks re: their cluelessness, but I'm sure they'd see I see them as quite well meaning.

I think they'd better understand me and what I'm thinking about and gain some insight into my perspective on living and working in Korea. I wouldnt' say it would get me fired, but that they'd just know more about what I know and how I think. Maybe it would help them better communicate and form a better relationship. I find them to be too busy with their stresses over waiting until the last minute on all their matters to really spend time with them, talk, and share ideas. Even if someone doesn't speak English, you could still have a healthy positive relationship rather than a silent one like is so common around here.

Yes, because they couldn't do any better.

My employer is lucky that they could trick anybody into living in this rathole of a town.

I've always been rather paranoid by nature. I usually post as if anyone could eventually identify me if they wanted to. I would never post my foulest thoughts or most lascivious desires on any forum. Some posters use no discretion whatsoever. I think a couple of my posts would raise some eyebrows but I'd probably still be employed just not renewed, which may not happen anyway.

Considering the work I do is stellar and that is what they hired me to do, they would have to keep me.

They wouldn't like it, but I'm quitting anyway.

The only way to find out it's me would be to contact Dave, though. If Dave started giving out that kind of information his site would become a ghost town.

Without that proof I could be anyone making up anything.

I wish my principal would.... so she knows HOW MANY people are aware of my coteacher from Hell who decided to slap me, and her lack of doing ANYTHING about it beyond listening for an hour and a half..... punishment? no...

And when I say she'd know about it, I also hope she'd lose A LOT of face...... speaking of which, my contract is almost up and I have a new, better job lined up- anyone have suggestions on how to make sure my principal loses PLENTY of face in my last few days?

To borrow John McClain logic, I like being the fly in the ointment! Cool

I have never posted anything on this forum that I have not/would not say in person. Of course I would still have my job.

I have left Daves open on my screen when I go to class hoping someone would read....like the one about Koreans being greedy buggers with fruit given by a parent...or abotu not being able to see my family....or about a k-teacher ripping off a lesson plan.

I agree with Gillian57. Say what you mean, mean what you say.
