I'm thinking about going to China specifically Beijing and the Great Wall. I hear you need a visa. If that is true, where or how do you get one?

Thanks for the help

A travel agent can do it for you. The price for Americans was about $120 the last time I got one (august 0Cool. That might have gone down post-Olympics, it used to be around $75.

If you apply for the visa(single entry) yourself it will cost 35000 won or 120000 won if you are an American. Apply 9.00am - 11.30am and allow 4 working days. Remember to take some passport photos of yourself.

Same day service is an extra 35000 won and two days 24000 won. One must apply between 9am-10am for this particular service.

This is for the Seoul embassy. There is a consulate in Busan as well but may have different times and procedures.
