Hello everyone,
I was hoping that someone could tell me a little bit about Bundang? I just received my notice of appointment and will be going to the Korean embassy Monday.
If any one could tell me a little bit about what there is to offer in this city and what the night life is as well as what western facilities are located there I would greatly appreciate it. Also, any other information you could provide would be great.
Thanks in advance.

It's a nice area. Fairly clean and more expensive than most parts of Seoul. The night life is a lot quieter than Seoul, but it's not too far from Gangnam. Most buses can get you there between 20-40 minutes.

Do you know which area of Bundang you'll be working in?

I think it's one of the richest areas of Korea. It's like the suburb of Seoul where all the rich people want to live. My old hogwan had a branch in Bundang and my boss would always tell me how rich the parents were. The teachers who worked there would often get really nice gifts from parents. That being said, the parents there are apparently very picky.

I've been there a few times and it seems very clean, but possibly a little boring. That being said, there are buses that will take you straight to the Gangnam area of Seoul in a pretty short amount of time.

BUndang is pretty nice, but it depends on where you live. If you live close to a subway station, it is very easy to get into seoul by bus and get around Bundang by subway. There are a lot of foreigners around.

Some people get stuck out in the middle of nowhere and it is called Bundang by their schools. If you post the name of the area we can give you more details.

I will be teaching at Unjoong Middle School. As for where I am living haven't been told yet. I know I am not going to be very far from work (or so I'm told) so if you know the area or better yet, the school itself please let me know anything that would enlighten me. Thanks again, especially those that have already responded.
