Ask around on these boards for a guy named fixed gear jerk. He's a good guy and knows his bikes. The only place I know of that you can get a fixed gear bike in Seoul is where he bought his new one. (I don't think they have cheap used ones in their shop, quite expensive)
Good luck |

Pro tip:
You can't build a cheap fixie in Korea. I had the guys from a new fixie shop in Busan (Mono Fame) build me one for about 700,000, and that wasn't easy.
What Koreans could afford French frames in the 70's anyway? Your best bet is to find a Korean made keirin frame (Cello or Corex). If you find one I'd be down to rage the streets with you in Seoul some time. |

There are a few ss/fixed shops you can check out, but getting used parts is difficult. If you have a Korean friend to translate for you, maybe you can find something on http://cafe.naver.com/singlegear/
This is lsd bikes website, they have some used frames.

There is a fairly new place called Dice in Hapjeong. I dont have thier website off hand, but I can look for it later. They import a complete fixed gear bike from italy and they sell it for 700,000 new. That is as cheap as it gets unless you find something on the single gear website.
There are a few other shops. You can get more info on the Cycling Korea Facebook group. Let me know if you wanna ride once you get rolling. |

There is a new Japanese brand thats importing cheap fixed gears and they've been hitting up all the big distributors around Korea so pretty soon it'll be pretty easy to find cheap completes. I mean they're all hi-ten with stamped dropouts and braze-ons... but they're still 'bikes.'
Also - French bikes? Lol. Anyone who knew better in the 70's bought Italian. |

I have a crappy old Schwinn I converted to a fixie at home. Cost like $150 all together. Found a Peugeot one day in the trash, but it was too small for me. It's a shame it can't happen here. Seriously, I found the bike. Stripped it and had it set up in like 2 days. Oh well.
I'd be kind of nervous at first attempting to ride around Seoul though. No brakes and all these maniac drivers? I saw a guy in Hongdae ram straight into a girl on his fixie one day. She was out. He flipped. Bent his bike all up. It wasn't surprising to me at all. Nobody noticed his bike didn't have brakes. Ho hum. |
