Hi people, this one is for the ladies. Guys, though thanks for reading, need not apply. And no flaming, ok? This is a big deal for me.
I need someone to teach me to waltz and maybe ballroom dance. Dips and whirls basically.
There's a (Canadian) girl here in Korea that I have fallen for pretty hard. We've hung out for just over a month, but we have no official "status". We've both been having a lot of fun; her friends say she's never looked happier. I knew going in that there's an ex-boyfriend that she can't seem to let go of, and lately he's on her mind a lot. I feel like we're starting to fall apart a little.
It's time for a grand gesture. If it doesn't work, fine. But I feel like she needs something to make her let go of the past.
She's told me many times that she wants to have a man take her and dance "like they do in My Fair Lady or Sound of Music".
So the deal is that there's a group of us having a fancy "Symphony" night in two weeks. Champagne beforehand, black ties for the guys, fancy dresses and heels for the girls, an evening of chamber music, and "sophisticated" dancing after. I want to sweep her off her feet.
Is there anybody out there with mad skillz in this department? I would be incredibly grateful for a few lessons. I've been in musicals, etc. so I can dance a little, but I'm still awkward.
It will cost you nothing, I will pay transportation expenses, and I will buy you dinner, if you wish. I will also pay your medical expenses if I break any toes - haha, jk.
I'm on line 4, near Anyang. Please, if you're reading this and can dance, don't hesitate, PM me, or reply to the post!

| Didnt they dance the "Horizontal Mambo" in My Fair Lady? Do that one with her. It will be more enjoyable for you. |

Actually, there was no horizontal dancing in My Fair Lady. That was like 45 years ago. If they made the movie today, there definitely would have been.
And to answer your question: yes, but sometimes one needs to be a gentleman. |

Ask your korean co-teacher to look online for you....that's where you can find lessons....
Also, tip of advice...make sure your not the rebound guy...and don't be super romantic too early....If you've been extremely casual, pulling out some ultra romantic and expensive date can be off-putting if she's just looking for "a good time". |

| Well that's just the beauty of it. The ultra-expensive 'date' is happening anyway. I just want to make the best of it. |
