I've yet to have a good Bubble Tea in this country. Hard pearls, lack of flavors, lack of actual tea... If anyone knows a good place, I'd love to know where it is. |

I think they are limited primarily to Taiwanese/Chinese enclaves. That's just my observations of Northern and Southern Cali, though.
I spent 7 months in China and they had it everywhere.
And in Taiwan? Like coffee shops in Seattle.
6 months in Japan yielded almost nothing. |

My Korean friends laughed when I asked them about bubble tea, telling me (really patronizingly) that it went out of style a decade ago. You can still find it at those Shilla _____ (word I can't remember) bakeries. |
