"I've said this before, and I'll say it again: $17 billion is a lot of money to people in America. I understand that it might not be to some people in this town, but that's probably why we're sitting on a $12 trillion American Express bill," Gibbs said, referring to the $10.7 trillion national debt.

I beg to differ as it's going to take a lot more than $17 billion to fix America and get America rolling back to work again. The reason for our big debt is military spending, big business bailouts, and government fraud, waste, and abuse. $17 billion is a tiny drop in the bucket compared to what where doing with big companies, banks, and military as well as God only knows what else. If America is 350 million people big, then that's only $48.40 per person. It's going to take a lot more than $48 per person in development to create jobs. Since when could you create a job or put 1 student in a new school on $48? I say devote $1 trillion to rebuilding America if not $5 trillion while we still have the big money going on. Use the money to invest in America to put America back on the track of profitability. Individuals 1st need to be profitable; not in debt, for the country's finance and economics to stabilize and operate in a sustainable manner.
