| This was the only service KT offered me when I said I wanted internet and cable TV. I have figured out the whole VOD thing, but is there no way to watch real time TV with Qook? I like catching up on new TV series, and discovering new series, but I want regular TV also. I miss Fox!! Can anyone help me? |

| Many people here just download all their shows and watch them on their computers or patch their PC into their TV. No ads that way, and the popular shows (and even the unpopular ones) are usually available within a couple of hours of their original East Coast airtime. |

MegaTV (aka Qook) has 2 separate plans. One is a strictly VOD service. You can watch all past shows, but if you want to watch something recent, you have to wait a week after the show airs for it to be free. Any earlier and you have to pay a small fee (500w for TV shows.)
The other service is ONLY Live TV, and its more expensive than the VOD service. You want both? No discounts for both. You'll be paying roughly 40,000/month for Internet +VOD and an additional 30,000-40,000w a month for the live service.
Also, the VOD service does not have all the shows you see on the networks. They have a lot of the popular ones, but I can't watch 불만제로, which airs on MBC. The English movies section is pretty good, but it would be even better with the Catch-On demand service.
I think the best way to go is Megapass Lite + Qook VOD TV + Catch-On Demand which will be roughly ~45,000w a month with a 2 year contract. |

Actually, I just spoke with Qook. They seem to allow both live and VOD now. I'm on a 1 year contract for the Live TV, VOD, and Internet, though I do not know if it's lite or not. My monthly cost after my promotinal discounts have expired will be about 52,000W. I asked repeatedly if that would cover the Net, the VOD, and the Live TV, and was told yes. If my bill says different in a month, count on me being here. Though it's still better than $250 for Comcast. What a rip. And what a stupid city Memphis is for not allowing cable competition. |
