One thing I was surprised about...was how little I've heard about Korean literature....is there anything good?

I bought Three Generations, a semi well known book by Yom Sang Seop, from Hanks Bookstore near Gyeongbokgung in Seoul. I can't comment on the book, as I haven't finished, but this store seems to have more than enough Korean literature translated into English...it's a fantastic store run by kind people. Why not mosey down and pick up a book and judge for yourself?

Sure, I'll mosey with some better instructions.

I Have The Right To Destroy Myself is available. I've seen it at Kyobo and Bandi and Lundi's. I haven't read it, though. It seems to be about living in a big city, etc.

I'd personally be interested in the classics of Korean literature translated into English. I hope this thread garners more interest in this niche.

for directions to Seoul Selection (aka Hank's Books) go here:

http://www.seoulselection.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68

you should definitely check this place out if your a Sci-Fi fan, as they have a large selection with very reasonable prices. Their Korean literature selection is also quite vast

I read it. It's alright, I suppose, if you're into existenialist nihilism with a hint of kink to keep you turning the pages.
