I mean, I know this is the land of Hyundai, but come on, the Nano is cheap cheap cheap! Isn't that the only real criterion for getting into the Korean market?

It's got to be well on its way just on the sheer force of bargain hunters, hasn't it? Am I underestimating the strength of protectionism here? What Korean could argue with a less than 2 million Won new car?

And would you buy one if they released them here? Tonight CNN reported they have no airbags.

I have never owned a car with airbags. that would not be a deciding factor for me

Pretty much a death machine if you hit anything larger than a Matiz at a spped higher than 50 kmh. Then again, not too many SUV's here..lol..or open roads..observe

I agree with hubba. About an hour ago, I drove into a gas station (in CA) next to an empty pump. Then I noticed that the guy on the other side of the pump decided to use the pump on my side instead of his and his pump was not broken. It was just so inexplicably retarded to pull my pump all the way around instead of just using pump on his side. He sheepishly apologized while I waited for him to finish. This guy drives a 2.5 ton pickup. Next retarded thing he does may cost a life. I'm all for defensive driving, but you cannot be in control of all situations. I would not risk my life in a cheap, unsafe car.

Maybe he had two gas tanks and was topping off both. The pump on his side may have finished before you got there?
