The latest version of the Nintendo DS has the ability to browse the internet using WiFi. Has anybody tried doing this in Korea? What do you need to set it up? Do you need to have a specialized internet account, equipment etc.? |

I have the new Nintendo DSi. It's a little thinner and has slightly bigger screens. It also comes with a free web browser (free to download from the Nintendo store). The browser isn't the greatest and I've had lots of pages run out of memory. I was hoping for better. You can actually buy a web browser for the old DS too. I've never used it though.
It does have a light to let you know if there is a wireless network available. Which is kind of handy if you plan to use it while out somewhere. I've only used it in my apartment. I just told it to search for networks, then told it my password and I was on instantly.
I went to Yongsan on the weekend to get a power adapter (it uses a different one than the DS), but they hadn't heard of it (at least where I asked). Has anyone had any luck getting an R4i card in Yongsan? The DSi won't play my old one. |
