I'm New Zealand now. We've got some amazing trails here - singletrack through native bush, around and over mountains and so much of it with a real out-in-the-wilderness feel. The scenery is beautiful.

But I still miss Korean singletrack. The flowing trails near Bundang, up Namhansanseong and in so many areas around Seoul are ideal for a Saturday morning cruise. Maybe it's the fact that so much of it is actually quite accessible. Or perhaps I miss the people I ride with. I think most of all I miss the dry trails... because the tracks in Dunedin at the moment are just long, slippery, snail trails of mud.

How are the trails in Korea right now? The only time I remember them being muddy are during the rainy season and after the spring thaw. Is it true that the tracks on Sinwolsan are being increasingly stepercized though?
