I have been reading up about Yeosu on here and on various blogs. It sounds like a really good deal and Yeosu sounds a really nice place but now I am hearing that it is really hard to get a PS job down there and it is competitive - Is this true?
And can anyone recommend a medium sized city similar to Yeosu that is by the sea? I fancy life on the beach for my next contract!
I would try for Busan but knowing EPIK - They will end up placing me in some two bob village 2 hours away from Busan! |

Don't go for Sokcho. I've never lived there, but I visited for a weekend one summer. They put up buoys and you can only swim in those areas, which resulted in what I call "human soup." Tried to swim outside the buoys and a pink speedo-clad lifeguard swiftly blew his whistle at me and a few renegade Koreans.
Didn't have much fun trying to swim while also dodging college kids in flotation devices and ice cream bars floating in the water.
But hey, I think I was the best swimmer on the beach...which is something I can't normally say for myself. |
