I shipped a package from Canada to south korea using small packet air international, this service does not have a tracking number. Canada post says 4-10 business days for shipping. Of course it has now been about 15 business days, which is frustrating.

I'm assuming the issue is with the package clearing customs. Anyone know how long it takes for packages to clear Customs on average? From your experiences?

Also, is there anyone to contact Korean Customs about certain packages?

Thanks in Advance

Every package I've received from overseas in the last four years has cleared customs in one day. You say you had it shipped without a tracking number so that means you have no way of knowing if the package even made it to Korea. Always pay the extra for the tracking, friend.

Yeah, money is tight and it would of cost some ridiculous amount to send it quicker. So, I figured 4-10 business days sounded fine to me. I found out later it didn't have a tracking number, I learned my lesson there. I haven't sent hardly anything in my life overseas, you would think everything would have a tracking number for overseas shipments. But afraid not.

Well, hopefully my package reaches it's destination soon. I'm glad to hear your packages have cleared in one day.

with Canada post you can often add tracking to many packages for $1-$2 without sending it xpresspost.

This isn't going to help you but

packages from nz to england take two to three days

packages from nz to korea take 7-20 days. (with a hangul label)

I don't know why. There are plenty of flights between korea and NZ.

Give it five days, if it is still not here start worrying

If it got flagged at customs, anything can happen from this point on. I sent 9 boxes to myself (from the states). 5 got here fine. 4 were in weirdo land for awhile and then customs contacted me about two of them. Had me fill out all sorts of paperwork to get my packages and then I got them. A few MONTHS later, my friend got the other 2 boxes returned to her with a written note stating that they were refused by the recipient. No, don't understand what happened there either, but two of my boxes never got to me. They were obviously dangerous as they were filled with my collection of stuffed animals, and we all know how dangerous they can be. Stupid, violent teddy bear!

I just had a friend send me a box..13 lbs. and it cleared customs in a couple of hours and was sent from the states on the pm of 7 May and I received it on 12 May at home...due to the weekend and no one being in customs on the weekend. It cleared customs in 2 hrs.

With all the packages I have had sent here and had sent to others, none have been delayed for any reason.

I have been here for 9 years.. after the first year, I've got my family and friends to send me stuff via EMS or Parcel Force. Much safer that way. You simply can't trust Korea Post.
