It doesn't have to be Korean people related...

1)Well, the students made a lot of progress, which is great.

2)I saw amazing cold-cuts at the Viennese sausage place.

3)I had great food at Petra and Sheesha at Marrakesh.

4)The secretary and co-workers helped me a bit with some Korean pronunciation, and I studied some Korean with my foreign friend.
We do that regularly twice a week where we read our own Korean language books and drink coffee and discuss Korean.

5)One doorman is always happy to see me, so I came up to him and gave him a firm handshake.

6)My waking up schedule is better, but I sure got to work on going to be early, I guess that's typical for hagwon teacher:) LOL

Yesterday felt like Saturday, but today it feels like Monday, but thank God, it's Wednesday.

Not much else to report from the Land of the Morning Calm.

Packed up the dogs and drove to Chuncheon. Great weather and they enjoyed their first car ride in ages and napping beside the lake.

And I'm now officially Korean when it comes to regional food hypotheses. The Chuncheon takgalbi was killer!

Had 5 days off.

Caught a Korean catfish in a fairly clean Gangwondo river.

Enjoyed sunny warm weather in the past 2 days.

Ate really good food.

Got to talk to my uncle on the phone who I haven't been able to see or call for like 8 years due to his constant volunteering for overseas military assignments, but we're now in email contact as well. He now has a phone while he's home, but fixing to go to Afganistan soon.

- My parents arrived, and so far have really liked it.

- I got a four-day weekend to spend with them.

I got to see a few museums and things I've been meaning to for years but hadn't yet got round to.

- Ate a bunch of nice food mostly on my parents' bill.

- I met up with a couple of ex-students in Seoul who are now second-year uni students and doing great.

- Got to go out for a drink with BE for the first time in a long while.

- Last week I just did a bunch of review quiz games with my students which were really fun and enjoyable for us both.

- I only have to teach one lesson today.

- Had bibimbap for lunch today, one of my school's best meals.

- Apart from a bit of Saturday drizzle couldn't have asked for nicer spring weather.

Yeah, all in all this has been a pretty nice week to be in Korea.

What part of the South are you from? Haven't heard that one in quite a while.

I had some time off.

The weather finally got good.

My baseball team is still in 1st place.

My work schedule is pretty decent this month, albeit a little busy.

I am taking a road trip this weekend. Here's hoping for some good weather.

Sounds like a winner Smile

I went for a walk along the river in my town. It's got a nice walking path, trees, grass, etc. I could let my dogs off their leashes, and no one minded.

I finally got all my furnature set up for my new apartment.

My fiance and I made a woman laugh. She thought it was hillarious that he was playing with a romote control car and I was playing ball with our two dogs.

I had some really awesome Kimchi-chigge, North Korean style.

I got an oven. I've been baking banana bread, muffins, casseroles, etc. Today I'm making sauteed zuccini and mushrooms, and oven-baked spaghetti and cheese with garlic bread for dinner! My korean fiance is very excited about all the new things I'm making he's only seen on TV.

I think you mean hotter than hell. Where did Spring go?

This last week has been great. Long weekend spent motorcycling on the road exploring.

All of my classes are canceled because of exams and sports days. When I do go in the students are all in a good mood because of the festivities (and the end of exams). Tomorrow, me and my students go to see Nanta.

I'm finally getting a grip on the oscbnk opcode in Csound (twenty-something arguments for one function is too many). While it's nice to have a new tool to write music with, I'm still in a creative drought when it comes to actually writing the music.
