HD Camcorder for sale. Comes with the original box, battery, battery charger, All cables, a shoulder strap and original documentation. The camera is capable of HD, SD and DV. It can also take digital still photos.
The camera is Japanese and all controls and menus are in Japanese. If you can read Japanese, great. Otherwise, a pdf English manual can be downloaded for free. The camera is in great shape and has only been used about 10 times.
Sells new for $1700, used for $1200. I'm looking for 1,000,000W or best offer.

| Unfortunately, editing footage shot with the HD1 isn't quite as convenient. Material recorded in DV format can be edited with any standard application, but at the present time, video shot in the proprietary progressive modes can be edited only with JVC's included Windows-based MPEG Edit Studio Pro 1.0 LE. Similarly, the sole compatible DVD-authoring application is the bundled ImageMixer DVD. These programs offer merely rudimentary postproduction tools. JVC claims that several popular editing applications will soon support its new format--let's hope so. |

is this why you are selling it?
otherwise sounds like a potentiall good camera; I'd be interested but it has to be compatible with FCP6 - sorry! |

| If you notice, that review was written in 2003. Now all video editing packages are able to edit in HD. I've edited from this camera with iMovieHD, and Final Cut Pro. |

no I didn't notice - but thanks for pointing it out - it seems the review is old because the camera is also
anyway, you are incorrect, not all cameras are compatible with FCP - that's why I asked (and was checking on the internet)
and no, appareently yours is not compatible with FCP - according to the apple discussion forum, one has to import into IMovie and then go over to FCP - and it doesn't always work
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8190058
thanks anyway, not interested, but good luck. maybe someone who doesn't use FCP might be interested. |

As a former Apple employee and a Certified Apple Pro on FCP and trained professionals on FCP, I can tell you that you and the people in the thread you posted are wrong. (ok, forgive the arrogance)
FCP easily works with this camera. I've used it several times.
However, I'm using FCP 5.xx. According to this thread it seems to be an issue with FCP 6.0.xxx
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7166454
Maybe there is an issue with FCP 6.xx that I've not experienced.
And to clear up the confusion, I didn't suggest that every camera works with FCP, only that all modern video editing packages work with HDV. |

| Does the camera include a dolly, sherpa or mule to haul it around? On the outer edge of portable, that is. |

I asked for 1 million because it's selling used on ebay for $1200. However, I'm willing to listen to other offers. a million is a good price for this camera.
I've only used the camera in the daytime, so I can't really vouch for it's performance at night. However, the majority of the review you posted are quite positive. |
