Verbs 아쁘다and 맞다 would conjugate to 아빠(요) and 맞아(요), but I often hear 아뻐 and 맞어. sometimes 괜찮어. I imagine this is a slang thing, and I often hear women say it (especially 아뻐^^).
Maybe this is 애교 (cutesiness)? I've asked a few Koreans about it and their reaction is 'it's the same' which it obviously isn't cuz I asked them if 좋어 sounded right and they said no. Anybody have any insight into this? |

Are you talking about 아프다?
I think it's just the way people say it but the correct spelling is 아파요. You can't spelling it 아퍼요 even though a lot of people say it that way.
There are a lot of words like that such as 바쁘다. A lot of people will say 바뻐 but the correct spelling is 바빠. |

Yeah I was confusing it with 바쁘다. I'm wondering WHY people say 바뻐/맞어/등등등. I'm thinking its 애교 but b/c all the Koreans I know are female they have a hard time explaining it. |

You're right about how those verbs conjugate in written form. What you've heard is simply how they're used colloquially in the plain form. You sometimes see people use these colloquial forms when they're texting too. And it isn't just a female thing to say this at all, everyone does it.
In a similar way the ending -고 often gets pronounced more like -구. |
