I didn't see that movie yet. Looks like something I'd have to be pretty stoned to enjoy.
But I did see the worst kung fu movie ever over the weekend. Bruce Lee in "Bling Fists of Fury". I like Bruce, but dang that stunk up the place. |

I loved that movie!! I love the scene when they are in the cop shop and Harold sees that huge bag of weed and has that long fantasy about sharing the rest of his life with it. Priceless.

Yeah, there were some funny parts, but I thought it had more dumb scenes that were a bit cliched. And I was stoned for most of the time I watched it I might add. |

Not only was it one of the most entertaining movies I've seen all year, it also deconstructs racial stereotypes in a very original way.

That movie drove a lot of traffic to one of my pages about White Castle. Like 2000 hits a day. |

had some moments, but I didn't like it that much... John Cho was at his best in the American Pie series. The highlight of the film has to be the scenes that has Doogie Howser in them. |

I liked it better the second time I saw it. Nonetheless, it did have a lot of cliches and tried to break stereotypes in a predictable way. It felt a lot a like a screenplay a few friends and I wrote for a university screenwriting class. And that was it. It had the overtone that a college kid wrote it.
I'm still looking forward to "Harold and Kumar Go to Amsterdam."
BTW -- a much sharper movie about stereotypes that still gives me cramps from laughter is "Undercover Brother." |

I loved the Doogie Howser scenes - any movie that portrays Doogie Howser like that is worthy of my viewing time.
Hated the Cheetah part. Unnecessarily stupid. |

Funny thing is, that was one of my favorites growing up on Kung-fu Action Theater on WDCA-20 in Washington, DC.
If you like 70s and early 80s Shaw Brothers action flicks, I recommend this site:
www.kungfucinema.com
Here are some Korean stars from that era:
Casanova Wong
Hwang Jang Lee
Dragon Lee (born in North Korea)
Delon "Flash Legs" Tam (an ethnic Chinese who was born and grew up in Korea, or "hwagyo") |
