OK. I get paid 2.2. Any idea how much I should make after the health insurance and pension taken out? Ball park figure?

does your school take out any other fees from your salary, such as for heating, water, electricity? depending on how much they take out, you can end up with anywhere from 1.8 to 2.0

Between 2.0 and 2.1 after insurance, pension and taxes. Don't forget to take utilities into account.

I can tell you exactly -

Pension: 4.5% of W2,200,000 = W99,000
Health: 2.54% of W2,200,000 = W55,880

W2,200,000 - W154,880 = W2,045,120

Minus taxes and school lunch (if in a PS)

Those figures are correct. I receive 2042450 won after pension is taken out , not including tax as I do not have to pay it. Meals are separate and are also taken from this figure.

I make the same salary at a public school and this was exactly my last salary receipt.
