It appears that our beloved all you can eat and drink restaurant has gone out of business. It is a sad day in history.

Does anyone know of another restaurant in Seoul that is all you can eat, all you can drink for a set price?

Blah... that sucks. Can anyone confirm this? I can't read Korean.

I was going to have my birthday party there on Saturday.

Seriously, to echo the last poster, anyone know if there are any other all-you-can-drink/eat banquet style places in Seoul?? Can't believe the timing on this...

My friend was supposed to have his b-day there on Sat. too...unless this is Joe himself, haha.

But yeah, I want another all you can eat and drink place. VIPS is just food.

The owner, Shinsegae Food, is converting it into a "premium seafood restaurant". For sake of customer's healthy (no more death from crazy cows) and help lose your weight and etc..

My girl tells me of an all-you-can-eat/drink place in Gangnam from 6-9 for 20,000W... hold on while I confirm.

Does anyone know where Sau Paulo or Ipanema (?) stands in all of this?? They are Brazilian steak places... I think they are all you can eat, not sure about the drinking though...

The Brazilian joint I ate at across the street from Seoul National University of Education's (Gyodae) main gate (I think it's Sao Paulo) had all you can drink draft beer.

By the time we left that joint, we could barely move. I'm not sure if they can accomodate a party for twenty though, unless you guys are willing to split up tables.

Chris you nutcase, "Brazillas" sounds like a great big meat monster terrorizing the rich districts of Seoul.

The actual name is Brasilia. Go out exit 6 in Gangnam (same exit as, er...well, nevermind) and walk straight for about 5 minutes. It's on your left.

I don't know the exact name but in Wangsimni in the same building as the E-Mart there is a place called Moscelis or something that starts with an "M" anyways. It's an all you can eat seafood restaurant and for 5k extra you get all you can drink beer. It's a little more than Carne was but a lot better. Then final cost with beer is still under 30k.
No big open bar though. I'll miss that most about Carne.

yep.. it says.. they announce the end of business as carne station, and they would like to express their deep gratitude to customers.. from now on their restaurants will be called 'bonobono' and be serving 'premium seafood', as jongroguru says.
the bonobono website says its still a buffet, but it costs 37,000 each and you have to pay extra for booze. which pretty much takes the fun out of the place...

Ipanema never offered a guzzle option for drinks while I was there.

Whatever happened to Platinum Microbrewery?? They close along the way somewhere???

For basic all you can eat & drink, the first ones I remember were bulgogi & beer places in Changwon - the name was something like 'OB Stadium,' and I believe it was either a chain, or else a not-uncommon concept.

By the end of the night, you feel like Pizza the Hutt. Laughing
