Does anyone have a good recommendation of somewhere to get a good curly haircut (layers), preferably somewhere that speaks English. Thanks!

I have fairly curly hair. The best I've found so far (I might try another this time around just for fun) is IHee Studios. It's in Apkujeong. You can call them at: 02.3446.0030. Ask for Hwang Ji Hae. She speaks very decent English and is a pro.

It's a bit difficult to give proper directions, and useless unless you sort of know the area, so please reply if you'd like 'em.

Good luck!

Thanks. Do you know approximately how much they charge for a cut? If you can give me directions that would be great.

I think it's about 40,000. It's not the cheapest you can get, but one curly to another, it's just not an option going to the local ajumma perm place.

Directions.

Walk out of Exit two, Apgujeong station. Walk straight for about 1 km until you get to the corner with the Galleria fashion mall (that fancy fashion that carries Gucci, LV, etc)....or you can just get into a taxi and say "galleria" if you're lazy. It will be the second major intersection. Once at that intersection, you want to cross the street so that you are at the Southeast corner (so, kitty-corner to the mall). Walk one block and turn right. Walk up the hill a wee bit and you will see the IHee salon.

I suggest you make an appointment (if you like) and mention that you've never been there before, and let them know you may call for directions that day. Then, if you're feeling a bit lost, call them and hop in a cab or ask someone who looks kind on the street.

I hope this helps!

I get my sorta, kinda, in a weird way curly hair cut at a place in Incheon near the bus terminal. Knowing your location would make it easier to give you directions.

Thanks. I live near Daerim but would be willing to travel for a good haircut. Thanks for the directions too.
