I just got an email (Monday, May 18th) from someone at the company that runs the afterschool program that I work at, saying that the program is closing at the end of the month!
I've been with the school for just over 2 years, and just renewed my contract in March. They were nice enough to offer me a job at another school nearby, but I'm not sure I want to take it.. if I'd known they were planning on closing the program I would have just got them to fly me home instead of re-signing.. I got less than half the money for airfare home for finishing the last contract. This didn't bother me at the time because I wasn't planning on going anywhere.

Here's the email:
I'm sorry I talk to some bad news.
From June (next term) , the XXXXX school will be close 1 class.
Because we got damage for 1 years, furthermore we can't expect increse student more.
We got a loss about 500,000won every month. The headoffice don't want maintain anymore. The school also agree to moving.
I know you are very sincerely teacher. So I can introduce another school in XXXXX area.
So I need your resume(updated) first of all.

What are the consequences for an employer breaking a contract, and with less than 2 weeks notice??? My contract says they will give one month notice.

I'm not out to get the the company, but I'd like to know what my options are if they decide to be difficult. It would also be nice if I could get the rest of the money for a flight home.
