Yes but in speech they are referred to as North Korean, regardless of feeling. The reason they cannot literally be referred to as 'Wae-guk' is because to the average Korean, waeguk means 'overseas' - The reason being that Korea is surrounded by sea, and no one can get out via the Northern direction. |
