im not sure if i should be asking about this here, but here it goes.

i know a person. this person is a close family member to someone who is being investigated currently, and supposedly is a big deal in the korean media (though i havent been able to find anything on it) i am not sure of the name of the person being investigated, but according to the person i know, he is well known and looks like he will be serving some jail time for some sort of business and/or financial activity.

i dont want to ask my friend too much about it, because they seem to be having a hard time dealing with it all, and they have mentioned that their time with me has served as an escape from their daily depression, so i dont want to make life more difficult for them. i have reason to believe this is all true, my friend is verrrrry wealthy, and on a few occasions has introduced me to some very prominent members of the korean political and financial scenes (close relatives to Rev. Moon just as an example)

so im asking if any of u more avid korean news readers know of a major investigation taking place at the moment or able to give me some information about stuff they may be happening? im just really curious about what my friend is going through and just dont have the heart to ask them to discuss it with me.

Maybe it's something to do with the ex-president, Roh, or one of the guys he's accused of taking money from?
You can read up about it on the BBC...search 'korean president bribery.' There's a fair number of other business figures implicated, not just Roh. Maybe your friends know some of the bribers.
