in google translate 보증 comes up as Warranty whereas 보장 comes up as Guarantee.
I really just want to know that if the vista they install on the laptop will be guaranteed as working legit (don't care if it is or not).
So if 보장 is guarantee, then I think thats the one I am looking for
but cheers tzechuk, i learnt a new word |

Both translate to gaurantee. With the exception of 보증금 I rarely hear 보증 and have had much more success being understood with the verb 보장하다. 고쳐 노력해서 고마워. |

Be careful because 포장, which might be what they think you've said depending on the context (if you're buying something) and your pronunciation, means 'wrapping'.
So, particularly if it was in the shopping context, you might be understood as having asked, 'can you wrap this?'. I know someone who this happened to.
Just thought I'd mention that, although perhaps this isn't the situation you were thinking of, OP.
edit - oops, hadn't read properly what the OP subsequently said about why he was asking. Still, I'll leave what I said as is, it might be relevant to others. |
