I finally broke down and got a cell phone, pretty much the cheapest deal I could get and it's an LG Cyon LV3800.
I've been playing around with it and I've got it pretty much figured out. However, I can't seem to figure out how to type all of the characters in Korean. When using the dictionary, I can get the main characters, e.g. ㄱ,ㄴ,ㄹ,ㅁ,ㅅ etc. that are visible on the keys, but how do I get all of the other consonants? When typing in English, when you want "c" for example, you hit the same button you would for "a" but you do it 3 times. Is there something comparable for Korean that I'm missing?
There's one page in the back of the manual in English "For Foreigner," but there's nothing in there of use.

Thanks for any help

For my LG Cyon, the "extra" letters (the ones not actually printed on the phone keys) are as follows--for the letter in the left column, press the keys as indicated in the right column:

ㅋ ㄱ*
ㄲ ㄱ#
ㄷ ㄴ*
ㄸ ㄴ*#
ㅌ ㄴ**
ㅑ ㅏ*
ㅕ ㅓ*
ㅂ ㅁ*
ㅃ ㅁ*#
ㅍ ㅁ**
ㅛ ㅗ*
ㅠ ㅜ*
ㅆ ㅅ#
ㅈ ㅅ*
ㅉ ㅅ*#
ㅊ ㅅ**
ㅎ ㅇ*

I think that's all of them. Sadly, not all of the cell phone manufacturers use the same system. To use another maker's phone, you need to learn their system.

Apparently, they're as shocked as the general public is that a foreigner can manage 한글, although it's renowned as easy to learn.

Awesome! I just gave that a shot, and apparently mine's the same.
Thank you very much.
